What the filters remove

Tuesday, 9 June 2015 9:28:29 AM Pacific/Auckland

The filter cartridges we use are industry standard. They are designed to meet NSF42, a USA water quality standard. The cartridges need to: 1. filter out particles bigger than 5 micron (so that the living nasties cannot hide as they travel down the UV chamber). 2. remove particles that make the water too murky (so that the UV light can penetrate and sterilize the reproductive organs). Monday, 8 June 2015 4:45:59 PM Pacific/Auckland

Choosing the right system is easy:

  1. Roof/Tank Water - you need a UV Filtration System ( at least 2 but preferably 3 filters)
  2. River/Bore Water - first you install a UV system then monitor filter life and sleeve clarrity to determine what pre treatment wll work best for your water source
  3. City Water - you can use 3 or 4 filters to take out the chlorine
  4. Grey Water - install a UV system with 1 or more filters wired to start the pump after a 2 minute delay
  5. Pool Water - install a UV Chamber (filtration is via the existing pool filters) to reduce chlorine consumption
